Teaching and Mentoring
I am currently teaching the following course at IIT Gandhinagar:
- Spring 2025: Advanced Condensed Matter Physics (PH 691-IV)
- The course introduces quantum many-body theory and discusses advanced topics in condensed matter physics, useful for both theoretical and experimental research in the field.
- Course Outline – Second Quantization, Jellium model, Hartree-Fock theory, Hubbard model and Ferromagnetism, Heisenberg model and superexchange, Landau Fermi liquid theory, BCS theory of superconductivity, Interacting bosons and superfluidity, Introduction to Quantum Hall Effetcs, Term-paper presentations on some advanced topics
- Fall 2025: Advanced Statistical Physics (PH 646)
I served as a Teaching Assistant for the following courses during my PhD at TIFR Mumbai:
- Spring 2017: Advanced Statistical Mechanics, Instructor – Prof. Rajdeep Sensarma
- Spring 2016: Statistical Mechanics, Instructor – Prof. Basudeb Dasgupta
I also mentored the following undergraduate students during my PhD:
- Amulya Ratnakar (PhD, IISER Kolkata)
- Prathyush Poduval (PhD, Univ. of Maryland, USA)
- Sankalp Gaur (PhD, Univ. of Colorado, Boulder, USA)
- Prashant Gupta (PhD, Univ. of Illinois, Chicago, USA)
- Anirban Das (PhD, IACS Kolkata)
